Accurate, stable and reliable, the LL500 features a 1,600 ft (500 m) working diameter which increases productivity by reducing the need for multiple setups on a large job site.

Our Spectra Precision Laser LL500 provides a horizontal reference for checking elevations across construction sites. Its 500m working diameter supports measurements over a wide area, helping reduce the need to reposition the instrument during concrete work, foundation checks and general site levelling.
The rechargeable Spectra Precision laser level LL500 is part of our rotary laser levels range. Temperature compensation, a visible spotting beam and receiver configuration options support consistent readings throughout the working day.
Spectra Precision LL500 Specifications and Power
The Spectra LL500 combines a mechanical compensator with temperature compensation to help maintain stable accuracy as site conditions change. Its key specifications include:
- Levelling accuracy: 1.5mm at 30m.
- Working diameter: 500m.
- Self-levelling range: ±11 arc minutes.
- Laser source: visible 670nm beam.
- Power options: rechargeable NiMH or four D-cell alkaline batteries.
- Battery life at 20°C: approximately 100 hours with NiMH or 175 hours with alkaline batteries.
- Tripod connection: 5/8-inch × 11 thread.
The rechargeable option supports repeated use, while alkaline battery compatibility provides an alternative power source when charging is inconvenient.
Spectra Precision LL500 Setup and Elevation Checks
Position the instrument on a stable support and use its levelling screws and circular bubble to bring it within the compensator’s operating range. The compensator then maintains the horizontal reference. A built-in out-of-level shutoff interrupts operation if the instrument moves outside that range.
The visible spotting beam helps you locate the reference and position the receiver before taking readings. We can help you choose suitable tripods for the LL500 and your required working height.
Spectra Precision LL500 Receiver Options
The LL500 range offers HL700 and CR600 receiver configurations for different applications. The HL700 receiver provides a numerical display of the elevation difference from the on-grade position, helping you take readings without repeatedly adjusting the receiver to find the exact level point.
