Calculated results come from recorded distances rather than a complete scan of the room. Memory and data transfer may assist record keeping where included in the specification, but stored readings do not automatically create a complete or verified plan.

Bright sunlight, longer distances, dust, mist, rain, instrument or target movement, poor alignment and unstable support may also reduce usable range or consistency.
The selected reference point, stated accuracy and battery condition must remain suitable for the work. A longer stated range does not guarantee the same working distance on every target or in every environment, and the visible laser spot alone does not determine accuracy.
