Spectra HL450 Digital Readout and Detection Features

The HL450 laser receiver displays the elevation difference within a ±40 mm range, or±1.5 inn when imperial units are selected. Its digital reading shows how far the detected position is from on-grade, helping you make measurements while the rod clamp stays in place.

An anti-strobe sensor helps prevent construction lighting from causing false laser strikes. The receiver offers fine and medium deadband settings, allowing you to select a tighter tolerance for detailed work or a wider tolerance for faster beam acquisition.

Using the HL450 Laser Receiver for Site Levelling

Turn on the receiver and face its reception window towards the rotating laser. Move it through the beam until the display provides the required elevation reading. The audio signal changes as you move above or below the reference, while the on-grade indicator identifies the centre position.

Mounting the HL450 with Its Rod Clamp

Attach the rod clamp to the receiver’s clamp guides and secure it to a grade rod. The reference bar aligns with the on-grade position, while the clamp screw holds the receiver at the selected height. The captive screw thread offers another fixing point for suitable machine-mounted arrangements.

The rod clamp can be removed for handheld measurements.
