Our Spectra HL700 receiver is a digital laser detector for measuring elevations from rotating transmitters. It displays the exact distance from on-grade, allowing you to record a reading without moving the receiver to centre it on the beam.

Spectra HL700 Receiver Digital Readout and Detection Features

The Spectra HL700 receiver provides front and rear LCDs with a numeric elevation readout of ±50mm from on-grade. Its 127mm reception height acquires the rotating laser beam quickly, while the anti-strobe sensor helps prevent construction lighting from creating false readings.

Multiple deadband settings let you select the accuracy needed for the task. Ultra-fine, super-fine, fine, medium, and coarse settings cover detailed elevation checks through to faster beam location. The capture function holds a measurement when the display is difficult to view, helping you retain the reading while positioning a rod or checking a reference.

The front LED shows green on-grade, red high, and blue low. The receiver also stores selected units, accuracy, and audio settings, so it is ready for repeated site measurements.

Using the Spectra HL700 Receiver for Levelling and Excavation

Turn on the receiver and face its reception window towards the rotating laser. Move it through the beam until the display shows the required elevation. The arrows and audio signal indicate the direction of movement, while the on-grade reading confirms the reference position.

Mounting the HL700 with Its Rod Clamp

Attach the rod clamp to the receiver’s clamp guides and secure it to a grade rod. The reference bar aligns with the on-grade position, while the reversible clamp face accommodates round, oval, rectangular, and square rods. Two clamp positions support centre or offset on-grade readings for different grading and excavation tasks.
